Excited to Share | I'm on ByDesign on CBS

Jun 22, 2026

I'm excited to share that over the past year I've had the privilege of joining the ByDesign family as a presenter, helping bring stories about architecture, culture, and community to audiences across the country through CBS.

My journey with ByDesign began not with television, but through advocacy. During conversations with Executive Producer Mike Chapman, we explored how ByDesign and Beyond the Built Environment might work together to amplify the work of designers who have historically been overlooked. Through a Memorandum of Understanding between our organizations, we agreed that if I joined the team as a presenter, the series would also have access to projects and designers featured through the Great Diverse Designers Library. It felt like a wonderful opportunity to continue expanding visibility and telling stories that deserve to be seen.

To be honest, stepping into television has been a completely new experience for me. As someone accustomed to keynote stages, classrooms, boardrooms, and construction sites, I had no idea what to expect. What I have discovered is an incredibly talented and passionate international team, spanning New Zealand, Australia, and the United States, all working tirelessly behind the scenes to make these stories come alive. I have learned so much throughout the process and have truly enjoyed being part of the journey.

I am excited to share that two episodes featuring projects I had the honor of presenting have already aired and are now available online:

St. Louis Symphony Orchestra – Historic Powell Hall (St. Louis Missouri)
Season 5, Episode 10

Awty International School (Houston, Texas)
Season 6, Episode 3

And I am thrilled to share that my next episode featuring the Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library – West Perry Branch will air on CBS this Saturday, June 27.

One of the things I have loved most about this experience is helping bring architecture into living rooms. We often speak about design within our profession, but ByDesign reminds us that great architecture belongs to everyone. These stories are about people, culture, community, and the spaces that shape our daily lives.

I've loved the opportunity to travel across the country, exploring remarkable projects and meeting the incredible teams, clients, and communities who bring them to life. Every shoot has reminded me that great design is ultimately about people and place. It has been an honor to help tell these stories and to work alongside such a talented international team committed to making architecture accessible to audiences everywhere.

A special thank you to my makeup artist, Shannon Rodriguez (@shannonrodriguezartistry), who always makes sure I am camera-ready and looking my best. Behind every presenter is an incredible team, and I am grateful for her talent, professionalism, and friendship.

I would love your support this Saturday. Please make it a point to tune in, gather your friends and family, and join me for a virtual watch party. Send me a picture of your living room, your phone, your laptop, or wherever you're watching from. It would bring me so much joy to celebrate this moment together.

Thank you to the entire ByDesign team and to everyone who has trusted me to help tell these stories. I'm excited for what's ahead and grateful for this unexpected chapter.

My Family, including my 97 year old grandma watching the first episode.

If you're receiving this email, it's because you are part of my journey. Your support sustains me. I carry you into every room I enter, and I hope to continue making you proud.

With Power and Purpose,

Pascale
