I’m excited to share that I am stepping into a new professional chapter, one shaped by years of leading, building, and advocating, and now focused on expanding that work beyond a single organization and into a broader, more connected practice.
After serving as Chief Executive Officer of the New York Studio at Adjaye Associates, I have transitioned from my role, carrying with me the experience of leading projects, teams, and work across the Americas. That chapter sharpened my understanding of what it takes to operate at scale: aligning vision, managing complexity, and delivering work that holds cultural, civic, and economic weight.
At the same time, my advocacy work, beginning in 2009 with NOMA and expanding through the founding of Beyond the Built Environment in 2018, has been rooted in a different, but equally critical focus: elevating women and designers of color, expanding access, and building a global network committed to equity in the built environment.

I’ve come to understand these as two distinct but interconnected bodies of work.
The first, grounded in practice and leadership within a firm.
The second, grounded in advocacy, visibility, and collective advancement across the profession.
The Third Office emerges from the intersection of these two.
It is a strategic advisory practice that combines executive leadership with advocacy, applying the skills, insights, and structures developed within one organization across many. It exists to support firms, developers, and institutions in navigating complexity, strengthening alignment, and advancing projects with both rigor and purpose.
Where the first office is focused on building within a firm, and the second on building the field, the third is about supporting both, extending that work across a broader network and engaging multiple partners simultaneously.
This is not a departure from my work, but an expansion of it.
It reflects a shift from leading within a single organization to advising across many, while remaining grounded in the same commitment to impact, equity, and excellence.
The Third Office is now live. https://www.thethirdoffice.com I invite you to explore the work and consider how this model might support your practice or organization. If there is alignment, I would be glad to connect.
If you’re receiving this, it’s because you’ve been part of that journey. Your support, collaboration, and belief have shaped how I move forward, and I carry that with me into this next chapter.
The work continues.
